I have tried every emulator on the market over the last 4 to 5 years and the products keep getting better. Anything to make console gaming more entertaining and less cumbersome than using a gamepad for first person shooters. Keep in mind I was never a fan of wireless mice I noticed no lag. Pros Wireless "No lag" Well Built feels like a solid MX518 gaming grade mouse Extensive Tuning options for X Y axis and deadzones Game specific firmwares Features "Turbo" "aim down sight tuning speed" "Stick swap" Mousepad analyzer Setup Software Graphics user interface Rubberized grip not painted this is about 1/8" thick rubber mat on the mouse and wand Great Support Cons None that I have found I'll update if anything changes. With the mouse I am pretty accurate and while not always as quick as a person with a joystick I can play well enough to be at the top middle of the pack.. That device has a very cool touch interface for a separate keyboard and mouse but with LOTS of wires. Only problem with this MUCH cheaper (cheaper still at 7summitz.com) wireless and more complete setup is that the mouse of course eats batteries and dies poorly. Moreover, bluetooth (I believe) wireless connection has limited range. I have an 11 foot screen and typically sit well over a dozen feet back which produced some lagging that doesn't happen with a standard MS wireless 360 controller. So, I had to move forward.I understand Activision once set up a test to allow PC gamers to play COD 4 against XBOX 360 users and the PC folks kicked butt. Most would suggest simply using a mouse was the key advantage (over faster hardware). Other reviewers seem to confirm that. The ability to aim quicker doesn't happen right away, however, as there's a significant learning curve... Read more |
