It's a perfect fit. I was tired of using old CRT TV's (the bulky glass-screens) whose low resolutions really ruined some modern titles. For instance, in a lot of newer games I had a hard time reading text on my old TV, even close to the screen - it just didn't have the resolution. Not only is this converter cheaper than many others, it performs flawlessly. With my 3-year-old run-of-the-mill Acer AL1916W widescreen LCD monitor I can use my Xbox 360 in 1080p with no problems whatsoever. It is GORGEOUS, and makes me wish I had done it a lot sooner. So far, I am very impressed, as it does exactly what I was hoping it would, but there are a couple of drawbacks...Positives 1.) The Box-this is a solid unit with great hookups and an easy interface. It has Component Input, audio in/out, vga in/out and power; all well labeled, too. The easiest setup I think I have ever seen. Really-just plug the cables in and you are good to go. I have heard of other products like this making noise when in use. This one is perfectly silent. 2.)Interface-push a button or two on the unit to adjust, and its looking great. You can select resolutions via the menu button, and change other color options using the same three buttons. The box is well built, not something looks cheap; the quality of video and VGA outputs exceeds my expectations; the installation is very easy. The user guide is brief (2 pages of English) but is enough to get started. The usage is simple. Great value if compared to some other similar products but much high price. The VGA signal (from my PC) makes characters on the screen a bit fuzzy at first after the device was installed, but after I pushed the "auto-adjust" button on my monitor, the characters are clear again. |
