This monitor is pure awsome but the only way to justify the heafty price tag is if you plan on connecting it via DVI. HDMI or any of the other connection ports are 60ghz (that means 60 frames a second). That is the maximum those connections will allow. DVI ports can support up to 120 frames a second however allowing videogames to move with liquid smooth animations. The 120 is wasted on anything but PC videogames. If you are looking for a monitor solely for your console game system or blu ray player as you could easily find a similar size monitor with just as good a picture for 2/3rds the price. (movies top out at 24 frames a second which are cleverly made to look smoother via motion bluring and consoles top out at 60 frames a second).Having said that however if you have a PC with a DVI connection and want lighning fast...
