I bought it with the WD 1TB green drive and so far there have been no issues. The unit is absolutely quiet (no fans!), does not run very hot, and consumes very little power compared to the 160W HP Slimline PC I use to serve from. I want to stress the fact that I am in the IT field, I am an A+, Net+, MCP, CCNA (cisco) certified technician and have worked with many different networking devices. This device is certainly not the most intuitive interface and it did take some time playing around to get squeezeserver to run properly and I would not recommend it for those who are not technically proficient. I also use some of the other features such as FTP, Web, AjaXplorer, File Server, Itunes server, Twonkyserver(to Xbox 360 and PS3) and plan on eventually using the surveilance station feature.
